Is size 5 thread also called something else? What hook size is usually used for size 5 thread?

Hmm, I'm not sure what it might be called outside of the US.

According to the Coats & Clark site, it calls for a 3.25mm hook (US "D" size)

Thanks :) Hmmm..They used a 1,75 mm hook in the pattern which used the size 5 thread.

Some fingering weight yarns would be about the same size as size 5 thread.
