Thank you darsa for posting that pic for me so everyone can see the little guy. Sorry the pic was so big i can't shrink them with this phone i don't think. I like this pattern because you can make his coils tighter or looses depending how tight you pull the chain. It would also make a cool caterpillar i think. Hope this helps you all out. Great pattern i think this guy will go to Kristie's toy drive.

Thanks for posting a picture! I came up with this idea when I needed a quick toy for a boy. I too like the chain that you weave back through the coils because it helps to keep him together.

Brenda, your snake is so cute!
What a neat idea, they would make great party favors for a little boy's birthday party!
I wish that I can find glow in the dark yarn to make some glow-snakes!!!
Thank you,

Bonnie, what a fantastic idea! It *is* hard to find good boy's favors that aren't too expensive or will break if you look at them funny. I think my nephew's party will include some of these babies when he has his birthday! :D

I just came across this pattern and thought he was so neat. I just bought some Glow in the dark nylon cording last week and i think it will work perfect. I bought it from Canadian Tire, but I am sure you could purchase it in different stores. its main purpose is for power cords or tents lines so they are visible in the dark
