I can make some squares! Or I might even attempt an entire lapghan!

I made my Mom a Lapghan for Mothers Days last year... and she proudly showed it to anyone and everyone she came into contact with her while she lived at a nursing home. She's recently passed...
And I'd love to make a square or two...
She would love this.

I'll definitely send along a lapghan (or two, or three, ...) I've made several for the nursing home both of my in-laws are in - I know the residents love them. PM with your address and I'll get to work!

As an Activity Director for Long-Term facilities, I can agree that lapghans are wonderful. Last year I was able to get enough, between fleece, quilted, and crocheted, for each of my residents to have one. I can agree that a lapghan is enough, even for those not wheelchair bound.

Count me in for a lapghan .... and don't be surprised if I ask for one back :devil.

OH! I won't make a granny square type, I'll make a whole lapghan. I know with residents that are confused (as most are), sometimes they may get their hand, toe, foot, brake, etc., caught in it and have a fall. :eek So I'm asking all who participate (and who participate at other senior living centers) to please be careful with the "hole" size.

PM me your info, so I can get to work on it :hug

Thanks for the advice sara elaine! I'd hate to cause harm with a well meaning gift. My squares are a solid granny with some small holes. I think it'll be ok.

I've finished one square sissie! I'm making you a 36" by 48" lapghan with 12" squares.

Hey Stacie, which pattern are you using? I make grannies the traditional way. I'd love to get a different pattern.
Thanks Meegan :crocheting
