After all of Darski's great inspiration, I decided to try to make an outfit for Dora all by myself. I think it turned out pretty good, not as good as Darski's , but I'm pretty proud of it. I plan to make some of Darski's as well for the doll, for my stepdaughter for christmas. The skirt , shoes, and headband were fairly simple to make, but I had a little trouble with the top. I finally got it to work out. It seems with her head so big everything must either come up from the bottom or have buttons or snaps. What do you think? I have plenty of criticisms for it, but I don't think Tiffany will mind much.;) Pictures should be clickable. The green things on the tip of the shells on the skirt are little lime green beads that I got at walmart.

Gorgeous - I have made 13 different patterns of Darski for my niece when she was visiting (I mad 13 in 16 days) and she loved them all - and yes things have to go on from the bottom up or be completely opening.

I hope that this gives you confidence to write up the pattern and to have a go at designing some more outfits for Dora. Your Stepdaughter will love them all.

No, yours is wayyyyyyy better.

I absolutely love this outfit. You have really filled my heart as I have always hoped to be an inspiration to others to make clothes and yours is just so wonderful. :manyheart

If you check whatever program you use for your pics - even just Paint- you can choose "Rotate" and set your pics upright. It is under the "image" in the top menu.

When in doubt... make a hat.      And feel free to *pin* me.

Thank you so much Darski, that means the world coming from you. If you had watched me trying to make the top....whew. There is no way I could ever write that down.

And thanks about the pictures. I just figured out how to load them on photobucket and here, haven't figured out any of the fancy stuff yet!:hug
