Here is my interpretation of the very popular spider afghan pattern everyone here is using, the first is the Venom-like version I made for my son's birthday.

They were fun to make even though I had a deadline to meet. :eek

Very cool! Good job on both as well.

I was making the red & blue one for my son (just have about 6 rows done) but he saw the black one & liked that better! Looks like I am buying some black yarn soon lol Thanks for sharing both your versions of the RR. I love that pattern. I made one for my sister last month.

Cool looking RR's!! The black one is really neat!! With the "Spiderman" movie been popular right now, I can see 2 of my grandsons wanting the black one also. (So maybe I'll have to make both of the RR's for each of them for Christmas:eek)

There are no ridges, no ruffles either. :no The black rounds are sc. My photography and the way they are laid out probably makes it look ridged.

I have been thinking of making this one for a while now, and your black one is just enough push to make me go bet the black yarn. I like both, but I really like the black one, would be great for any spiderman fan, or great for halloween. My daughter likes both but she has posters from spiderman 3, and all the posters are of the dark suit, so she will love that one. Hmmm, may have to make one of each. have a daughter and son who love both.

Great job on both ghans!:)

The red and blue one is from a pattern that was posted here, or at least the link to it was I believe from angelfire. Maybe someone else could help out with the link as I don't have it anymore. The Venom-like one was my idea based on that pattern and after seeing products and pictures for the new movie. Hope this is a little help and someone else can supply the link.

I like the color, it is more like a web in the darker shade. Nice work!
