Something to copy maybe:

http://www.merrking.blogspot.com/

Another one. Pictures are gone but pattern is still linked and directions on page 3:

http://www.crochetvi...ead.php?t=31618

This might do:

http://www.crochetvi...highlight=shrug

Or this one:

http://www.hometown....leen/page6.html

Or this one:

http://caron.com/pro...cle_jacket.html

Might be a little lacier/holier than you want:

http://www.crochetme...giant-snowflake

No arm holes and you might want to make it larger:

http://www.medidit.com/free/shawl.html

This book has at least one, don't think it has the arm holes:

http://amazon.com/o/...&pf_rd_i=507846

Beautiful one that's not free and again no arm holes:

http://www.kpixie.co...roducts_id=1323

You might find more here:

http://www.crochetpa.../shawls_etc.php

Check under shrugs, too. You might find something you like even if you have to leave the sleeves off:

http://www.crochetpa...ugs_boleros.php

Or just pick a doily pattern you like, use yarn, a big hook, and make arm holes:

http://www.crochetpa...ory/doilies.php

there's a circular jacket at www.garnstudio.com where the arms are cast on from the circle which is stunning. I guess you could just leave the arms off. I am currently making a shawl from circles of hexagon motifs and am considering leavin arm holes will let you know how it turns out
blessed be charitas

Beroco has a Spring Crochet booklet that has a crochet circle vest. It is for purchase, not for free, but the pattern is great, as are the others in the booklet.

Thank you very much ladies, now I really want the circle sweater from the Berreco site. I hadn't even heard of a round sweater shawl until this post, now I suppose I'll have to order that pattern and put it on my list. You ladies make it hard to ever get caught up!

Try looking at www.dorothyclary.com. It is from the 70's. originally ran in the Work Basket magazine and also in one of the Millitary publications.

This thread is four years old. Chances are high she already found and made one.
