Here is a little diddy for those of you who like amigurumi. Something else I have created for the Easter baskets. This one is for my 11 yr old niece. She loves cats.

Supplies
Worsted Weight Yarn (I used Red Heart 0316 Soft White and 0786 Candy Print)
Scrap yarn for nose and as a round marker
9 mm Solid black eyes
yarn needle
3.5 mm Hook
Notes
Making my adjustable ring
wrap the end of your yarn around your first two fingers two times, so that the end of the yarn is closest to the end of your fingers.
Slide the crochet hook under the first loop, grab the second loop with the hook and draw it through the first loop.
Chain one (this counts as your first sc for the round)

Sc Decrease
place hook in stitch, yo, draw loop through
place hook in next stitch, yo, draw loop through
yo, draw it through all three loops on the hook

Sc Increase
place 2sc in one stitch
I used a scrap piece of yarn to mark the end of the round and moved it with each row.

Head
Using soft white, make adjustable ring (see notes), make 5 sc into the ring , place marker in the last sc
Round 1 2 sc in each sc (12)
Round 2 (sc, sc increase) around
Round 3 (2sc, sc increase) around
Round 4 (3sc, sc increase) around
Round 5-10 sc around

I started your cat and came across a problem. I the round where you are putting the sc in the ring, should it be 6 sc into ring? You put 5.

When I start with a majic ring, I count the slipstitch as my first st, so there ends up being a total of 6 when I am done. Does that make sense? In the past, I have ended up with a little lump if I did not count it and put six in. If it works better for you to add six, please do. You will need to do so through out the pattern if you choose to do six. Let me know if there are anymore issues. Thanks for the heads up!!

Your welcome! When I do a magic ring, I don't count the slip stitch.

Hello Addicted to Yarn,

I started to crochet your lovely white cat, but now I do not understand the following: turn body....
How to turn the body? Not inside outside? I am sorry that I appear so dumb, and I am not even blonde (but grey). I hope you can explain this to me, so that I can continue with the cat.

Thanks for your help. Greetings from Dorith in Israel
