I have done numerous doilies and doll clothes but never thought about bookmarks until joining crochetville. I got my crochet calendar and made this in less than a half hour, a nice quick gift for my sister. Her husband is in the National Guard and is away at his training. His unit is scheduled to leave for Iraq in June so they adore anything red white and blue and patriotic

Looks great! I've only just recently made 2 bookmarks myself, they're a great place to learn new stitches or otherwise experiment.;)

Watch out! Bookmarks are addicting! I bought a pamphlet that has nothing but bookmarks in it and it's fun trying out all the patterns with different size threads and different colors.

Red, white and blue is such an attractive color combination!

Can't wait to see more!
