Anyone know of a pattern for a crocheted balaclava? My son delivers papers now and wants something that will cover most of his face so he can be warm.

I'm not sure if that really is a balaclava, but I think, it comes close to what you are searching: http://www.hipvintag.../bernathats.pdf
The pdf file contains also two other helmet hat patterns.
