My gothy friend's b-day is coming up and loves handmade things. The only problem: I don't have any dark/goth patterns! Any patterns with skull and crossbones, goth accessories and/or anything dark would be most appreciated!

My goth girlfriend loves the idea of long wristwarmers, in black of course. I want to make her some for Valentine's Day by lengthening Deneen's.

Not sure what exactly you're looking for so here's a variety of things.

This scarf is knitted but you can still follow the chart and make it crochet:

http://acunningplan....kull_scarf.html

Same thing for this purse:

http://www.helloyarn...niskulltote.htm

Use a pattern similar to this:

http://deneens.blogs...i-tote-bag.html

This bag would be interesting in black, or deep deep red:

http://www.crochetme...att_fleuri.html

Spiderweb graph if you want to make a pillow, potholders, or something:

http://crochet.about...ly/aa101400.htm

This might look gothic done in black:

http://crochet.about...y/aa012200a.htm

Arm warmers:

http://www.bellaonli...es/art17909.asp

This skirt is done in rose but you could do it in black:

http://www.crochetme...am-spirit-skirt

This one in black or black and red would work. Make it like the first picture with the fringe. Fringe it with ribbons and/or yarn:

http://www.crochetme...patt_skirt.html

This is not a free pattern but still might be what you're looking for.
Spiderweb skirt could be done in black:

I am baffled. My son (follower once upon a time of Marilyn Manson) and his girl are still quite into gothic. Although no baby in the picture yet, the girlfriend wants me to create a gothic baby blanket. A black blanket seems a little morbid to me...am I getting old and set in my ways? Any ideas? Hopefully I have lots of time to come up with something. Any ideas would be welcome!

Don't feel bad...

My 14-yr-old son's prize possession is the quilt I made him several years ago with *drum roll, please* skulls and roses! Had to buy the fabrics online because nothing was available locally. It is a gorgeous quilt - I've had more compliments on it! You'd be surprised. And my darling Hubby keeps trying to steal it from him. Can you imagine? I keep taking it back for my son... eventually I'll make hubby his own:devil

Since she's asked you, that makes it much easier than trying to surprise them. Involver her. And him. Ask them what they'd like. Do they want plain black? Which I think would be fine. Would they like black and dark purple? Black and deep red? Or how about one of the links in this thread I posted. They're skulls and you'll have to follow a graph or cross stitch in later.

Also look at this thread:

http://www.crochetvi...ead.php?t=30833

There are several squares and patterns in it you could use.

You can do this and it'll be just beautiful. :hug

Goth crafty site (only one crochet pattern, but perhaps something may inspire from the knit charts and such):

I would think that would be an interesting challenge. Are there any motifs/colors they like? I was first thinking of a regular blanket pattern, just in black and purple stripes (or whatever colors they like - black/red?). Then I thought of this pattern:
http://www.crochetme.com/color-me

And thought of doing crayons in the colors they like (if it's just black/purple or black/red or just black) and having it be the "Goth Baby's crayons".

(I have a strange sense of humor ;) and found the idea of a "Goth Baby Blanket to be rather amusing - so I went for the "less serious" route)
Diana said, "...But three years isn't any too much time to get ready for housekeeping, for I haven't a speck of fancy work made yet. But I'm going to begin crocheting doilies tomorrow. Myra Gillis had thirty-six doilies when she was married and I'm determined I shall have as many as she had."

"I suppose it would be perfectly impossible to keep house with only thirty-six doilies," conceded Anne, with a solemn face but dancing eyes.

Wow, my goth friend has met her male counterpart and I suppose soon I'll have to be planning for a goth baby shower if not a goth wedding. This could be fun.

YO usually means "yarn over".
Here's a list that might help you:

I don't know what's going on with Bellaonline. It used to show patterns.

If you need help with a goth wedding .. let me know .. I have a site with ideas :D I love the goth/dark lifestyle, the clothing is quite unusual, as works for me lol If I ever marry again ... highly doubtful ... I will be doing a gothic/wiccan wedding: Black and purple dress .. hand crocheted purple and black bouquet, beach at midnight, full moon .. the whole deal.

Hello there!

I made the gloves in the link http://www.crochetvi...ead.php?t=26543

I added black eyelash arround the edge. I am not sure if this helps but my sons mates think they are "goth" and they were pretty quick and easy to make and not commercially available ( here anyway)
