I made this immediately after seeing Kathy's post. :D One on the left is purple with silver-lined size 11 beads and the other one is lavender ombre. Both made with size 10. :hook

WoW! Those are beautiful! Mine didn't turn out 1/2 as good. The pattern is super simple but I just don't do good with small hooks and thread... I hope in the future I'll be able to do thread stuff because I've been eyeing some of the gorgeous doilies that people have been making and I want to do that! Right now I wouldn't be able to handle more than 1 row at a time! LOL

Those are lovely- I've not done much crochet with thread (the only stuff I have tried was freeform and I found it more than a little fiddly) but am hoping to make a few as presents (my list seems to be getting bigger by the day :lol)

I've not been able to find variegated cotton in the UK- would embroidery thread work???
