Hello All

 

I am finally getting to the end of an afghan that I am making for a Church festival.     First one in many years!

 

I just have a question / need an opinion regarding the edging around the afghan

 

Should I make it...

1. all black
2. all white
3. both black and white

 

The afghan is made with two strands held together.   I have three more ripples to go.

It's all a matter of opinion so if it were me, I would do the edging in a solid color and either in black or white. It would depend on which one I had enough of left-lol. If I had enough of both, I would choose white as it would make the afghan look lighter all around. Btw, it's a beautiful afghan!

Thanks....That was my thought to edge it in white and yes that is what I will have the most of left over.

A lot of people don't edge ripples at all.  If your edges are tight you really don't need to.

 

I would not edge in white.  Ever.  It gets dirty looking really fast.

Did not consider the "dirt" factor....Yet another thing to think about.

I agree. If you have enough black, I'd edge with that.

I agree with Rose Red.  However I also feel that ripples shouldn't be edged. I think it takes away from the ripple effect.
