Nautilus Shawl made from two skins of Red Heart Boutique Sashay in color Conga.

 

Adapted from Karin Wilmoth's (knit) Kelp Forest Shawl. She used a different ruffle yarn, with much different mesh spacing. I used her concept, and changed the math to make it work better with Sashay. Karin's given me permission to write up my crochet instructions, which I'll be doing once I return home from Stitches West.

 

Her pattern is available for free, so my version will be available for free, too. I hope to have a video tutorial as well.

This is gorgeous! I'm a sucker for shawl patterns! I have three file folders full of printed out shawl/wrap patterns plus a ton more saved on disk to print as I need them.

I can't wait for the crochet pattern...I've gotten into shawls/capes and have been looking for one that doesnt have a pointed back...I really love the look of this one..So romantic and light weight...I've gotta make one.
