I'm a beginner crochet-er who knows the basics but not much more. I'm having trouble with this pattern:

I can't seem to match up the rows. It looks like every other row should be reversed, like row 2, 4, 6, etc should start at the end of the pattern.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't actually made this, but the pattern appears correct by just eyeballing it.  I have you tried and it hasn't worked?  Or are you just reading and wondering if it's incorrect?  If you've worked on it, can you post a picture?

Are you talking about when you get to the end of a row, eg row 1, and then you need to turn our work so that you are effectively starting row 2 at the end of (and on top of) row 1?

Thanks so much for your suggestions. After your suggestion to send pictures, I laid the pattern out for the 8th time and it finally worked for me. I was having a lot of trouble relating the repeats to the stitches that didn't repeat when I turned the work. Thanks again.
