looking for small star pattern

i am wanting to make a flag afghan and want to make small starts out of thread to attach to it but cant find one i like. i cant find the pattern i used to have any where. does any one have a pattern they like for small starts. i dont have a size as im planning ahead lol. thanks for any and all help

Here's one star pattern.

CPC has a large list of star patterns.

Craft Yarn Council: Stars & Stripes has stars also.

I know Rachael Choi makes one, and you can use thread to make it the right size, if yarn is making it too big! Try out her site. listed here, for free patterns including the star!
