Hen and Chicks 3D Doily

Hi! I am looking for a pattern for this hen and chick doily made about 60ish years ago. Please visit here to see the picture. It's adorable and I would love help sleuthing out the pattern! Thank you, Kristen

That is so adorable. I have seen the 3-d Swan doily but I have never seen this hen and chicks doily. I hope someone can help you find the pattern.

This doily is so cute!
So far, all I have found is a C'Ville post back in 2006 with a link to the hen and chick she made and attached to a doily. In post #19 she writes "it is from a old magazine". I don't know if she is still a member but, it would be worth a shot to send her a private message.
I will keep my eyes open and maybe someone else will remember the pattern source.

Thank you for your help in searching out this pattern. It is very much loved and so I imagine if the original pattern cannot be found, some clever person can re-create it. There seems to be a lot of people interested in making it.
