(Note: This is just a copy of the OFFICIAL thread taking place over in the National Crochet Month 2011 folder. I've placed a copy here in Giveaways to help get more attention for the contest. Most responses in this thread will eventually be moved over to the official thread.)
In honor of National Crochet Month 2011, Crochetville is partnering with a number of indie designers, spinners, dyers, and hook and toolmakers to sponsor the Crochetville NatCroMo 2011 Treasure Hunt.
Each indie business has donated one or more special items for our super-special crochet gift basket that will be given to one lucky winner at the end of the Treasure Hunt.
We hope the Treasure Hunt will make Crochetville members and site visitors aware of some really fabulous crochet businesses and encourage everyone to spend some time browsing through the websites of our participating indie businesses.
Keep checking this thread as we will be posting photos of new items for the gift basket as our indie businesses confirm what they are donating.
How Does the Treasure Hunt Work?
Each participating business will have hidden this Treasure Hunt logo somewhere on their site by March 8. The contest does not officially start until March 8, so please don't waste time hunting for it before then since many businesses may not upload the logo until that day.
Contest participants shall:
- Visit the site of each participating business.
- Find the logo hidden on the site.
- Enter the URL of the page that contains the logo or the URL of the photo itself on the contest entry form.
- Complete the contest entry form (see post #2 of this thread). (Forms submitted with missing or incorrect URLs will be declared ineligible.)
- Return the contest entry form via PM to Crochetville Contest Entries by 11:59 PM CST March 25, 2011.
