I designed a very cute (IMHO :)) starburst motif last night, but I would really like to make it from a circle into a square so it's easier for me to sew them all together. Any suggestions?

I have a question - do you mean to do those stitches in ONE stitch, or in four different stitches?

The one I did you did a triple crochet like you would do a normal dc corner for a regular granny square, then ch 1, then in the next space you dc'd three times and ch 1 then do a hdc in the next to spaces, ch 1 between each of them, then ch 1 and repeat the pattern backwards until you get to the triples again. You just do that on four "Sides" and it becomes a square.

those are worked in one stitch at 4 points to make a circle into square or you do 3dc 2ch3dc. here is a site that you can see how they do it.
