This is the doily for my son's Easter basket. First I cross stitched the chicks playing eggball. Then I crocheted the edging and the butterflies and joined all together. Before I decided what I wanted to have, I changed the idea a few times :lol I chose the butterflies because they make me think of spring! In first version I added only 8 butterflies, but then joined 2 more.
The space between 2 butterflies is not my mistake, it's space for basket's handle.

I also made the doily for MY Easter basket :D. It's bigger than the pattern said, but it's ok. I haven't blocked it yet. I have the pattern from one of Polish books.

What a great idea to combine the cross-stitch and crochet to make a truly unique doily!
The other doily is beautiful, too!
You're obviously very talented, and have a great sense of design!
Fabulous! :cheer :clap :cheer
