I found this picture, can't even remember where. If anyone has ever seen it and knows where to find it again I would be very grateful.

Thanks so much! I have found similar types of crochet on a few of the Russian sites, but not this double spiral. I'll continue to search, too and let you know if I find. I remember now that I had posted a search one Yahoo! and then clicked on Images...but that's all

It's from an issue of the German magazine, Burda. That's all I remember. At my age that is quite a feat.

wow! that's so cool! It doesn't look too complicated pattern-wise but it sure would take a long time!

I'm tempted to try to duplicate it in a much smaller version...

I did some searching myself and I can't find anything that matches this gorgeous doily.

Can someone make one and write down the pattern? Post it out here on the forum or is that a No-No?? I have never made something by just looking at it from a picture. If I only had one in hand, I might be able to figure it out. I can't seem to get close enough to count the stitches. Might be fun to sit down and try to figure out though.

I'm with Theresa.It is beautiful and want to know where it is if anyone finds it.. I have been to the Russian sites and never seen it before I have to go back and check... I am working on another Russian doily right now...

I have posted a look out on my blog and on other crochet groups that I belong to and so far, no one has seen it. I hve been to that German magazine site but the trail went cold....but I am determinded!!!!:devil
