Donna Hulka is part crafty homebody, part nature girl, part computer geek. She loves handmade things because they’re beautiful and they’re just plain better than what you can buy. She’s been making things of one sort or the other since she was a little girl. When she was eight, her future sister-in-law taught her how to use a hook and yarn, and thus began a lifelong crochet adventure.

Amy Shelton comes from a family of crocheters. Although she learned the basics of crochet from her third-grade teacher, Amy’s mother and grandmother, longtime crocheters themselves, helped Amy expand her skills. She has been happily crocheting, left-handed, for over 30 years. Her right-handed daughter also crochets. Amy feels a strong sense of connection to family and community through crochet.
